We have seen time and again our political system fail in delivering on its promises. Basic issues apart, even our very existence is not of importance to them. They fail to realise that it is not the renowned 'Spirit of Mumbai', but infact the necessasity of it's people that they must show a brave face and step out to work, the very next morning. And yet, we remain a demoracy, and these are our very own elected representatives who rule this great country.

So what is going wrong here?

And why is our quality of life & infact our lives itself, not as good/important as those of our Western counterparts?

This blog is meant for like minded people like us, who want to come together and bring about a change.
A change in the way people think about politics.
A change in the way systems are run.
A change in the responsibility shown by politicians.

We want answers.
We want time-bound results.
We want accountability.
We want the best standards of living for all our people.

How do we go about this.
Well this is a little platform from where we build our base.

So why this topic?
1. Well I know its the holiday season & we must all want to enjoy what little holidays we get. But honestly the turnout today was amazingly disappointing. And I dont think we are the only people who care! So why the lousy turnout & how do we go about making a positive change to the response?

2. In the 'lively' discussion at Kala Ghoda, one thing was clear. There was hardly any constructive point being taken up. I am not pointing out to anyone, but there seemed to be some form of constant bickering going on, which resulted in no constructive thought. Passions yes, constructive thoughts no! I loved the organised way in which the PPI/JNM created their agenda. We on the other hand had nothing!

3. There was no democratic system in the presentation of thoughts. I could only guess that Sumana discussing her point of view with individuals & not the group, was because only the voiceferous ppl were able to voice their opinions in the discussion. I somehow ended up drawing similarities between us & political outfits.

So as per me atleast, there are three major problems we need to address right now.

All yours.

Akshay.
